Pedro Pascal Supports “Superman” with “Fantastic Four: First Steps” Hashtag

According to cinemadrame News Agency, Pedro Pascal, the new Mister Fantastic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reacted to the simultaneous release of “Fantastic Four: First Steps” and “Superman” in the same month by sharing an image.

He posted a poster by Rafael Kaban on Instagram, which shows Superman, played by David Corenswet, and Reed Richards, played by Pascal himself, side-by-side, with the Superman and Fantastic Four logos merged in the sky. Pascal included the hashtag #superfantastic with his post.

Fantastic Four: First Steps” is set to kick off “Phase Six” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while “Superman” will initiate a new DC Universe produced by James Gunn. “Superman” premiered last weekend, and “First Steps” will be released in the final week of July.

James Gunn had previously reacted to the two films releasing in the same month, stating on Threads: “Their film comes out two weeks after ours – there’s room for both! I admire my friends at Marvel. You can find any argument you want online. But I focus on the positive aspects of films instead of getting caught up in fan wars online.”

The story of “Fantastic Four: First Steps” is set in a retro-futuristic 1960s world where the Fantastic Four are astronauts preparing for a space journey. In this film, Pedro Pascal will play Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal, Paul Walter Hauser as The Mole Man, and The Green Knight will play Galactus.

Fantastic Four” is scheduled for release on July 25, 2025.
